Animal Attraction - with Kathy High In a previous ALL THAT IS we told you of this film. It is an extraordinary "take" on Dawn Hayman and Spring Farm CARES by filmmaker Kathy High. Well, the film is really making a name for itself. Its first showing was at the Virginia Film Festival at the University of Virginia and was well-reviewed. Then, in early spring of 2001, it was shown at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. The Guggenheim was so impressed that they have suggested a sequel. Conibear Trap Video The conibear trap is touted by trappers and manufacturers as "quick kill" and "humane". It is anything but. Just ask the pet owners who have had to stand by and watch their beloved friends scream and beg for help as they slowly strangled to death in this thing. And those owners had to just stand there, they could not give any help. Because, without special tools, and special knowledge, you cannot get a conibear trap open once it springs closed on its prey! Yet it is perfectly legal for trappers to place these traps along roadsides, even right outside your house, and in public parks, along bike and jogging paths, and one inch over 100 feet from schools, playgrounds, churches -- and your home. Right where your children and your pets play. But if your dog or cat strangles to death in one of them, or your child loses a hand or a foot to one of them, it's just tough luck. The law is all on the side of the trappers. This video is no professional job.
