Dandy or Miss Dandy as she is most often called was born in 2020 and came to the farm at just a few days old with her two littermates after their mother never came back to them. They were bottle raised here by Bonnie. Something was never right with Dandy from the beginning. She was significantly smaller than her siblings and just did not seem to thrive. It was discovered that Dandy had a birth defect called Atresia Ani Type 1. Essentially, her colon did not connect to her rectum. A massive surgery was performed at a specialty clinic, and we are thrilled to announce that not only was it successful, but Dandy also is fully continent. She is now functioning completely normally. Dandy is growing by leaps and bounds now as she catches up. She is a cat with a huge soul and great purpose in life. She will be greeting people here and working with workshop participants in the future …. of that we are certain.
